Can I still go through the car wash after that?
In principle, yes.
However, for maximum longevity and the best possible appearance, we recommend gentle hand washing or high-quality car washes that are safe for the paintwork.
Does the ceramic coating make the paintwork scratch-resistant?
No.
A ceramic coating does not make the paint scratch-proof and is not a substitute for paint protection film. However, it does increase the paint surface's resistance to minor signs of wear and fine micro-scratches, such as those that can occur during vehicle washing.
Minor stresses are often absorbed by the ceramic layer, thereby keeping the actual paint surface better protected. However, a ceramic coating does not offer complete protection against stone chips or deeper scratches.
How long does a ceramic coating application take?
We generally schedule about 5 days for a high-quality ceramic coating.
The reason for this is that the coating can only be as good as the preparation. Before application, the vehicle is thoroughly cleaned, decontaminated, analyzed, and professionally detailed to create the best possible foundation.
After application, the ceramic coating also requires around 25 hours of controlled curing time to achieve its maximum protective effect and durability.
This effort ensures that you receive a result that is not only visually impressive but also stands the test of time.
